Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

Even before I was in the counseling field, caring about mental health was always a crucial part of my identity. During my time as a high school math teacher and working in homeless services, it was clear that mental health affected every area of functioning. My direction soon became clear.

I completed my Masters of Science in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from ISU in 2020, and I have been working as a therapist at the Center for Youth and Family Solutions since 2019. In 2023, I moved into the position of clinical supervisor.

I am EMDR-trained and have completed trainings in various other trauma-responsive methodologies including polyvagal theory, internal family systems (IFS), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and the ARC framework (attachment, regulation, competency). I utilize a somatic, attachment-based, person-centered approach to meet clients where they are at, build regulation skills, and heal trauma. I value client autonomy and informed choice of treatment methods, a collaborative approach to treatment planning, and ensuring that clients' voices are heard in the therapy room.
